Have you wondered where your WordPress users are registering from? Wonder no more. 😂 The Geolocate Users plugin allows you to look at your user’s geolocation data along with google maps right within the Users page.
Installation
- Download the zip file of the plugin. ( optionally, see the source code)
- Go to your site dashboard > Plugins > Add New.
- Upload the downloaded zip file.
- Activate the plugin.
That’s it. Absolutely no other configuration is required. Go to the Users page to see your users’ geolocation data.
Note that only the geolocation of the new users after the installation of the plugin will be displayed. The plugin does not display the geolocation of users registered before the installation of this plugin.
The plugin uses the following services to get the IP Address of the user:
- ipinfo.io-
- ip-api.com
- ipapi.co-
- ipify
- ipecho
- whatismyipaddress
Note that the storage of the IP Address that is used to display the geolocation of user without consent of the user is against the GDPR law.
